Simple DIYs with your Christmas tree

  1. Set up your tree by spreading the branches and anything necessary to give it the natural look.
  2. Check for defects, a broken branch might need a quick fix. If the damage is obvious, you may want to consider getting a new tree.
  3. Time to set up the lights but hold your horses! Test out the lights to see if they are still working. The last thing you need is to having remove the defective lights.
  4. Its up to your creativity to place the lights/bulbs in any fashion that you want, spirals, curls its all up to you.
  5. Next, its time to hang the ribbons, garlands, ting-tings & anything that would fill up space on the tree.
  6. Now its time to place ornaments on the tree. Consider placing bigger, heavier ornaments on more sturdy branches to encourage stability. Significant ornaments should be placed in front of the tree at eye level. Avoid clumping all ornaments in a single area and there should be some symmetry formed by now.
  7. Place the tree topper. This is a very symbolic tradition in many family. Tree toppers could be anything from shiny stars, angels and for the modern appeal even candy canes and peacock feathers.
  8. Take a step back & make adjustments accordingly

Have fun decorating, thats what the season is all about.
